The Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is a highly efficient drying system designed to handle high TDS effluents, viscous liquids, and concentrated slurries. Working PrincipleThe feed slurry from an evaporator or other concentration unit is continuously fed into the ATFD. A heating jacket evaporates the water while a special rotor with hinged blades spreads the slurry into a thin film over the heated surface. This ensures rapid evaporation, leaving behind dry solid powder or flakes discharged from the bottom.

Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is a very modernized and a dynamic equipment.
This shall be used majorly for product layer concentrations and in ETP (Effluent treatment plants).
The working principle of this equipment is vaporization under vacuum and atmospheric condition.
